One of Upper Thomson’s oldest eateries is Roti Prata House. It remains a popular what t eat in Upper Thomson among people of all ages.

Like many Indian-Muslim restaurants, they offer a wide array of items on their menu. There are many food choices here like Prati, Goreng, and Biryani. They also have unique flavours like Durian Prata.

The classic Crispy Plain Prata, despite its many innovative variations, remains one of our favourites.

The Roti Prata House seared the crust edges to a brownish crisp, and the dough itself was sweet and bread-like in flavour.

Maggi Goreng here was gritty and smoky, as it should be, but it wasn’t overly oily. Instead, it has a mild, savoury taste and a decent portion size. Goreng is spicy yet tasty.

There is an extensive menu at Casuarina Curry Restaurant, but the restaurant is best known for its roti prata. Located off Upper Thomson, in the northern part of Singapore, this simple restaurant serves excellent food like Fish Head Curry and Murtabak.

The mutton biryani is also delicious. There was no distinct gamey flavour in the mutton, and the rice was nice and fluffy.

Try their great Indian food at 136 Casuarina Road Singapore, Singapore 579524.

Columbus Coffee Co.

This spacious cafe is located near Upper Thomson Road and Sin Ming Road.

There are many restaurants in this area of Singapore, but Columbus has a reputation for being among the best. It’s uncluttered and has a friendly atmosphere.

Their space is minimalistic, with just a few fixtures and plants. Natural light penetrates the walls, creating a wonderful ambience.

A wide-ranging menu feels familiar despite not just being the usual coffee shop. It seems well suited for small families or small groups to dine at this café.

I loved the contrast between the crisp edges and the fluffy interior of the Breakfast Strawberry Maple Pancake. The strawberry compote brought a bit of sourness to the savoury dish and kept it from being too sweet. You can drizzle maple syrup over the top if you’d like it sweeter.

Their address is 220 Upper Thomson Rd, Thomson Garden Estate, Singapore 574352. Also, visit their Facebook Page and Official Website here.
